Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years Stepdown RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This contract opportunity is designed for experienced RNs with at least one year in an ICU setting, skilled in managing stepdown level patients and familiar with titrating critical drips such as Heparin, Cardizem, Amiodarone, Nitro, Dopamine, Dobutamine, and Insulin. Candidates must pass a dysrhythmia exam within two attempts before contract signing. Failure to achieve 80% on the exam after two tries results in a six-month restriction from placement in certain regions.

Location: Humboldt, AZ
This assignment is within a hospital float pool serving multiple unitsincluding ICU, MedSurg Tele, and Progressive Care Unit (PCU)across two campuses approximately 20-25 minutes apart. The float pool includes inpatient care and holds in the emergency department. Nurses will navigate varying patient loads with nurse-to-patient ratios from 1:4 in PCU to 1:5-6 in MedSurg Tele.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide nursing care to geriatric, orthopedic, and post-procedural cardiac patients including those recovering from cardiac catheterization and CABG surgery.
  • Manage and titrate multiple drips confidently.
  • Interpret cardiac monitor strips independently; collaborate with monitor technicians.
  • Work 12-hour shifts (7 am7 pm or 7 pm7 am) with schedules published six weeks in advance and occasional weekend/holiday rotation including on-call standby shifts as needed.
  • Support unit operations while adhering to dress code standards transitioning to navy scrubs.
  • Participate in a thorough orientation including general hospital and specific unit training.

Qualifications:

  • Current RN licensure with at least 1 year ICU experience
  • BLS and ACLS certification
  • Comfortable with hemodynamic monitoring and RN-led drip titration
  • No employment with facilities affiliated with certain healthcare systems in the past year
  • Ability to pass dysrhythmia exam with minimum 80% score
