Job DescriptionOverview

Our organization, specializing in Women's Health, is composed of skilled physicians dedicated to delivering obstetric and gynecological care tailored to the specific age groups of our patients.

Located in Manchester, CT, our OB-GYN practice is currently looking for a full-time physician to join our team. The existing medical staff includes four MDs, five Certified Nurse Midwives, and one Physician Assistant. All providers share on-call duties and serve patients across two office locations, with our practice being affiliated with a local hospital.

Applicants should possess the capability to accurately diagnose patient conditions and recommend suitable treatments. A solid understanding of fetal growth and development principles is essential, along with the ability to recognize and address the unique needs of patients based on their age.

Position Highlights

  • Conduct thorough physical examinations and gather comprehensive patient medical histories, including health records and examination results.
  • Order or perform therapeutic procedures such as injections, immunizations, and basic wound care.
  • Provide instruction and counseling to patients on adherence to prescribed treatment plans, normal growth and development, family planning, emotional well-being, and health maintenance.
  • Develop and implement management plans for patients, monitor hospitalized individuals as necessary, document progress notes, and ensure continuity of care.
  • Achieve proficiency in the Electronic Medical Record System.
  • Submit billing at the time of patient visits.

Requirements

  • Experience in OB/GYN or Women's Health.
  • MD or DO degree from an accredited medical institution.
  • Board certified or board eligible.
  • Valid Connecticut medical license.
  • Federal and state controlled substance licenses.
  • BLS certification.
  • Eligibility for hospital privileges.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, along with effective listening and customer service abilities.
