Position Overview
NorTek Medical Staffing is seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Physical Therapy to lead and oversee rehabilitation services in Newport News, Virginia. This full-time leadership role is responsible for clinical excellence, operational oversight, staff development, and program growth across physical therapy services. The Director will work closely with executive leadership and interdisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care while driving efficiency, compliance, and performance.

Key Responsibilities
Provide strategic and operational leadership for the Physical Therapy department
Oversee daily clinical operations, staffing, scheduling, and productivity
Ensure compliance with all state, federal, and regulatory standards
Develop, implement, and monitor clinical protocols and quality improvement initiatives
Lead, mentor, and evaluate physical therapists and support staff
Collaborate with physicians, administrators, and interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
Manage departmental budgets, performance metrics, and resource utilization
Support recruitment, onboarding, and retention of high-quality therapy staff
Required Qualifications
Licensed Physical Therapist in the state of Virginia (or ability to obtain)
Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or Master’s degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
Experience
Minimum 5+ years of clinical physical therapy experience
Prior leadership or management experience strongly preferred (Director, Manager, Lead PT)
Experience in outpatient, inpatient, or rehabilitation settings preferred
Work Schedule
Full-time
Day shift
Monday–Friday
No nights or weekends
Compensation & Benefits
Salary range: $120,000 – $140,000 annually (based on experience)
