Responsibilities:
- Greet and check in patients, ensuring a welcoming and comfortable office experience
- Assist the optometrist with preliminary eye exams and pre-testing procedures
- Perform basic diagnostic tests such as tonometry, autorefraction, and retinal photography
- Maintain accurate patient records and update medical histories
- Help patients select frames and lenses, providing optical dispensing support
- Schedule appointments, answer phones, and manage front desk operations
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of exam rooms and optical equipment
Requirements:
- Prior experience in a medical office setting preferred
- Familiarity with optical dispensing, contact lenses, or vision care is a plus
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical environment
- Proficiency with EHR/practice management software or willingness to learn
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- High school diploma or equivalent required
