About the Role:
Dr. Randall Benson is a behavioral neurologist and expert in brain injury diagnosis and treatment, serving as a key medical-legal witness in all 50 states in complex personal injury and neurological litigation cases. As his Full Time Executive Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in managing the operational and administrative aspects of his expert witness practice. This position requires a proactive, detail-oriented, and highly organized professional who can manage sensitive information, legal timelines, and communication with attorneys and medical staff. In addition, the Executive Assistant will support research and clinical activities.
Schedule:
- This is a hybrid position that requires you to come into our approximately once per week or more frequently.
- The office is located in Pinellas Park, FL 33781
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage Dr. Benson’s calendar, including deadlines, medical evaluations, and court appearances
- Schedule and coordinate report deadlines, medical evaluations (IMEs), depositions, trial testimonies, and consultations
- Supporting research activities of CNS Staff
- Draft, edit, and manage reports, expert witness documentation, and legal correspondence
- Track legal case timelines, discovery due dates, and follow-up requirements with legal teams
- Act as a point of contact between Dr. Benson and attorneys, law offices, medical facilities, and patients
- Assist with reviewing and organizing medical records, case files, and neuroimaging data
- Manage billing, invoicing, and retainer agreements for legal engagements and clinic.
- Maintain confidentiality and ensure compliance with HIPAA and legal requirements
- Assist in preparing courtroom exhibits, presentations, and summaries of medical findings
Qualifications:
- Must have 3-5+ years of experience supporting an executive, preferably in legal, medical, or consulting environments
- Familiarity with personal injury or medical malpractice cases preferred (not required)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High level of professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, and calendar management tools
- Experience handling sensitive medical records and legal documents
Preferred Skills:
- Background in legal administration, medical office coordination, or expert witness support
- Understanding of brain injury terminology, neuroimaging (MRI, PET), and/or legal documentation
- Experience working with attorneys, law firms, or court personnel
- Strong attention to detail in report editing, document formatting, and case tracking
