We are a growing custom metal fabrication shop specializing in high-quality steel, stainless, and aluminum fabrication for commercial, industrial, and specialty projects. Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Welder / Fabricator to join our shop team. The ideal candidate has hands-on welding experience, can read prints, and takes pride in producing clean, accurate work. This role involves fitting, welding, and fabricating custom parts and assemblies in a shop environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform MIG and/or TIG welding on carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum
- Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and weld symbols
- Layout, fit, and fabricate custom components and assemblies
- Operate shop equipment such as welders, grinders, saws, brakes, and shears
- Maintain quality standards and ensure welds meet specifications
- Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area
- Work independently or as part of a team to meet production deadlines
Qualifications
- Previous welding experience in a fabrication or manufacturing environment
- Proficiency in MIG welding required; TIG experience a plus
- Ability to read prints and use basic measuring tools
- Strong attention to detail and pride in craftsmanship
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
- Must be able to pass a weld test
Preferred (But Not Required)
- Custom fabrication or job-shop experience
- Experience welding structural, stainless, or aluminum components
- Certifications (AWS or equivalent)
- Experience fitting and fabricating from raw material

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of SIOUX FALLS, SD.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
