Talent Acquisition Specialist – Construction ManufacturingLocation: Duncan, SC (must be within commuting distance)
Schedule: Full-time | Onsite / Hybrid (2-3 days/week onsite)
Travel: Recruiting events and site visits as neededAbout the Role
Kelso Industries is seeking a hands-on, high-impact Talent Acquisition Specialist to scale our field workforce, especially in the fabrication and modular construction manufacturing business in Duncan, SC and across the Southeast region.
This role is focused on recruiting skilled trades and construction manufacturing talent critical to our growth, including welders, pipefitters, fabricators, and shop/manufacturing personnel, while also supporting select technical and other hires as needed.
Candidates must be within commutable distance of Duncan, SC and comfortable spending 2-3 days/week in the office/facility while partnering with leadership, hiring managers, and shop teams.
If you thrive recruiting in fabrication shops, construction manufacturing environments, or industrial facilities, and enjoy building pipelines through community relationships, trade schools, and hands-on sourcing, this role is for you.
What You'll Do (Responsibilities)
- Full-cycle recruiting for construction manufacturing and fabrication roles
- Hire for skilled trades including:
- Welders (pipe, structural, MIG/TIG)
- Pipefitters and pipe welders
- Sheet metal and fabrication technicians
- Manufacturing and shop support roles
- Use direct sourcing, job boards, referrals, and local outreach to build talent pipelines
- Conduct initial screening calls and interviews
- Coordinate hiring manager interviews, offers, background checks, and onboarding
- Maintain accurate applicant data in the ATS
- Participate in job fairs, trade school partnerships, and workforce programs
What You'll Bring (Qualifications)
- 3+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience
- Demonstrated success recruiting construction manufacturing or skilled trades
- Experience sourcing welding and piping talent strongly preferred
- Ability to recruit in competitive local labor markets
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Must be able to work onsite and travel locally as needed
Preferred Experience
- Fabrication or modular construction environments
- Trade school or apprenticeship recruiting
- ATS experience (Greenhouse or Workday preferred, not required)
Compensation is targeted @ $70,000 - $85,000
