Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This contract position offers an opportunity to provide speech-language services in an elementary school setting in Berkeley, CA, running from August 20, 2025, through June 11, 2026. There are two full-time (FT) openings as well as one part-time (PT) opening available, with the PT role involving one day per week at a middle school supporting a mild-moderate program.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language therapy to elementary students, managing a caseload of approximately 45-50 students for FT roles.
- Provide therapy to a middle school caseload of about 14 students in the PT role.
- Collaborate with school staff to develop individualized education programs (IEPs) and support student progress.
- Maintain timely documentation and participate in meetings as required.
- Ensure compliance with California Speech-Language Pathology regulations and district policies.
Qualifications:
- Valid California Speech-Language Pathology License.
- CCC-SLP credential preferred.
- Experience working with pediatric populations, especially in educational settings.
- Familiarity with school-based therapy caseloads and individualized student needs.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with school teams.
Location and Schedule:
- Position is onsite only at an elementary and middle school in Berkeley, CA.
- FT roles entail full-time hours supporting elementary students.
- PT role involves one day per week focused on middle school students.
