Location: Houston, TX (Hybrid, 3 days in the office, 2 days work from home)

Pay Rate: $22.00/hr. - $26.50/hr.

Qualifications:

• College degree preferred.

• Extensive experience with Microsoft Excel.

• Background in billing and contract management.

• Experience with time and material billing (preferred).

• Strong communication skills.

• Quick learner.

Position Summary:

We are looking for a detail-oriented Billing Specialist to manage monthly billing processes for various customers and geographic districts. This role involves preparing fixed fee, square foot, special service, tag, re-bill, and cost-plus billing. The ideal candidate will gather, organize, and verify all data necessary for billing activities, including labor distribution reports, invoices, vacancy reports, billing action forms, and special service (tag) forms.

Key Responsibilities:

• Reconcile billing line items to the P&L.

• Follow up on past due invoices.

• Monitor monthly tag logs to ensure they align with invoicing.

• Prepare journal entries for labor and expense reclassification and accruals.

• Print and distribute invoices using JDE

• Maintain permanent billing files for all customers and jobs.

• Prepare credit memos for approval and entry by AR personnel.

• Perform other duties as assigned, including filing and organizing.

Required Skills and Experience:

• 3-5 years of related experience and/or training.

• Time and material billing

• Billing according to contract terms / terms of service

• Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.

• Experience with JDE (preferred).
