Hands-On Painting Role – Steady Schedule, Clean Work & Growth Opportunity in Cypress!
Where:
Work in a structured and quality-driven production environment in Cypress, TX, supporting the refinishing of high-end lighting fixtures. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in detailed, hands-on work and enjoys being part of a collaborative production team.
Job Highlights:
- Pay: $17.50 per hour
- Schedule: Monday – Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
- Location: Cypress, TX
- Consistent full-time hours with early shift schedule
- Opportunity to build skills in finishing and refinishing processes
- Clean, team-oriented production environment
Responsibilities:
- Prepare lighting fixtures by cleaning, sanding, and removing contaminants for proper paint adhesion
- Mask and protect areas that should not be coated
- Use hand and power tools to assist with surface prep and disassembly/reassembly
- Inspect materials before and after prep to ensure quality standards are met
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workstation following PPE and safety guidelines
- Document work and report defects or issues to supervisors
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Up to 1 year of experience in painting, refinishing, or similar production work preferred
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks throughout the shift
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive motions for extended periods
- Comfortable working in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures
- Ability to use basic hand tools and follow detailed instructions
