Your mission
Own critical steps in final assembly for world-class trains. You’ll bring components to life, ensure exacting fit and finish, and help deliver vehicles known for safety, reliability, and sustainability.
How you’ll make an impact
- Construct core coach assemblies: roofs, cable harnesses, mounted parts, electrical racks and panels, air supply racks, and piping assemblies.
- Bond and align floor panels; set windows; install door systems with accuracy.
- Install interiors: insulation, sidewall panels, seats, and luggage racks.
- Route and terminate electrical harnesses to subassemblies and final points.
- Tackle rework: disassemble, modify, refurbish, and reassemble as needed.
- Translate production blueprints, wiring diagrams, wire/parts lists, sketches, and verbal instructions into complete electrical or electro-mechanical subassemblies.
- Perform delicate, small-part work using excellent fine motor skills.
When you’ll work
Monday–Thursday, 4:00pm–5:30am.
What it takes
- High school diploma or state-recognized GED; or equivalent hands-on experience in manufacturing or related trades (electrical panel assembly, construction, automotive, electrical service).
- Comfort with basic English communication (written and spoken).
- Ability to read drawings/diagrams and parts lists is advantageous.
The work environment
- Frequent walking; reaching; stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling.
- Climbing stairs, steps, and ladders often; working on elevated platforms; overhead tasks.
- Occasional lifting/moving up to 40 pounds.
- Vision needs include close and distance focus, color and peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to refocus.

Compensation and benefits details
Hourly pay in Lexington, NC: $17.00 – $20.91. Actual pay may be higher or lower depending on budget and your experience, knowledge, skills, and qualifications.
