Join us to commission, service, and start up Consumer-industry packaging machines, while partnering with our German headquarters on upgrades and rebuilds to current equipment.
Your Impact
- Edit Rockwell ControlLogix code to stabilize and optimize performance.
- Tune and test software parameters; verify machine behavior against requirements.
- Diagnose complex production issues and map findings back to PLC/HMI logic.
- Apply SDLC documentation practices for consistent, auditable change management.
- Author test protocols and Automation change controls (validation documentation).
- Record troubleshooting steps and archive final software revisions.
- Drive sustainable fixes using Lean Six Sigma tools: RCA, DMAIC, GEMBA, 5S, and the 5 Whys.
- Communicate clearly with clients, subcontractors, and colleagues to explain code, states, and processes.
Technical Toolbox
- Rockwell/Allen-Bradley PLCs: ControlLogix and CompactLogix; VMware and HMI experience are advantageous.
- SCADA: FactoryTalk View SE, WonderWare, or Ignition preferred.
- Industrial devices: photoelectric sensors, prox switches, solenoid valves, VFDs, servo drives, PLC I/O.
- Electrical: comfortable with IEC electrical diagrams and accepted codes/practices.
What You Bring
- 3–5 years with high-speed machinery or other automated systems.
- Expert AB platform knowledge (RSLogix 5000); Jetter controls a plus.
- PLC programming and motion commissioning for new equipment; remote and field support experience.
- Ability to program from process definition or from scratch.
- Proficiency with electrical control diagrams and P&ID schematics.
- Knowledge across PLC/AC Drives/HMI/Servo/Motion Control (required).
- BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Programming, or related field preferred.
- SAP experience ideal.

- Comfort collaborating with experienced, multidisciplinary specialists.
- Ability to download PLC/HMI/drive programs and collaborate with controls engineers to enhance machine logic.
Working Conditions
- Supervisory Responsibility: None.
- Environment: Customer production facilities; adhere to all plant safety measures; work solo and in teams.
- Physical Demands: Active field role with occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Schedule/Status: Full-time, hourly; available for service needs and ongoing training; flexible to meet customer demand.
- Travel: Approximately 50–75% annually.
