Plant Operations Manager – Manufacturing & Distribution
Location: Dallas–Fort Worth, TX
Employment Type: Full-Time
We are a growing manufacturing organization supporting industrial and distribution customers nationwide. As we continue to expand operations in the Dallas–Fort Worth region, we are seeking a hands-on operations manager to lead production, materials, and warehouse functions in a fast-paced environment.
This role is ideal for a hands-on leader and team builder who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a proven ability to drive performance, develop people, and create a highly aligned, accountable organization. This candidate must have experience managing a full plant and not just a department within it.
Reporting to senior operations leadership, this position plays a critical role in achieving aggressive growth and operational excellence goals.
What You’ll Do
- Lead multi-material fabrication and assembly operations within a high-mix manufacturing environment (stainless steel, welding, assembly, inspection, etc.).
- Develop and execute ERP-driven production schedules to meet demand and on-time delivery targets.
- Drive output and efficiency to achieve sales and production goals.
Leadership, Coaching & Team Development
- Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing leadership team.
- Establish clear expectations and accountability across departments.
- Provide ongoing coaching, feedback, and professional development.
- Foster a culture of ownership, engagement, and continuous learning.
- Develop future leaders through succession planning.
Cross-Functional Alignment & Collaboration
- Drive collaboration between production, materials, quality, engineering, and logistics.
- Ensure alignment around shared goals and KPIs.
- Improve workflow and reduce bottlenecks through communication.
Operational Excellence
- Monitor capacity, labor utilization, and resource allocation.
- Analyze KPIs and implement improvements.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives.
- Champion quality and safety.
- Manage inventory and operational costs.

- 10+ years of manufacturing leadership experience.
- Strong background in fabrication processes.
- Proven ability to develop teams and drive performance.
- ERP system experience.
- Strong mechanical aptitude.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
