Job Title: Research Coordinator
Grade: 14
Salary: $52,753-$60,000
The Research Foundation for Mental Hygiene is seeking a full-time Research Coordinator. The Research Coordinator will support the daily operations of the Children's Day Unit and the Youth Treatment of Anxiety and Mood Disorders Program. Responsibilities include conducting telephone screenings to determine eligibility for clinical services, including individual, group, and family therapy, as well as participation in the day program milieu. The Research Coordinator will also provide referrals for youth who are not eligible for services, support staff by coordinating schedules for didactics and meetings, and assist with program logistics. Screening may also be conducted to identify young people who may be eligible for future research studies evaluating treatments for child and adolescent psychiatric disorders.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Recruit and screen patients for clinical and research programs in accordance with approved protocols.
- Support current and future research studies by managing participant recruitment and coordinating study visits.
- Support externship training programs and clinical staff with scheduling, coordination, and program logistics.
- Assist with organizing and coordinating clinical program activities and materials.
- Maintain and update program websites to ensure accurate content.
- Oversee volunteer staff participating in milieu and CDU classroom activities.
- Manage IRB protocols, including submissions, amendments, and renewals.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required, or equivalent combination of education and experience, in psychology, neuroscience, public health, education, social work, or a related field.
- At least (1) year of research experience in an academic or healthcare setting, which may include experience obtained during undergraduate training.
- At least (1) year of experience working with a pediatric clinical population.
- At least (1) years of experience using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) for administrative, research, or academic purposes.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Demonstrated fluent proficiency in Spanish or Bilingual Spanish speaker preferred.
- At least (1) year of experience conducting clinical research activities with children and families preferred.
- At least (1) year of experience working with a pediatric population with anxiety or mood disorder preferred.
- Demonstrated interest and comfort working with children and families, including direct interaction with pediatric participants and caregivers
- Demonstrated organizational and interpersonal skills, as evidenced by prior experience and assessed during the interview process.
