Job Description
Degree in American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreting, certified ASL Interpreter credentials, and 1+ year of experience as an ASL Interpreter in educational settings. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Seeking a skilled Sign Language Interpreter to provide dedicated one-on-one support for a 2nd grade student in a K-12 educational environment. This contract position spans the full school year, with a schedule of 35 to 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
Location:
- Lake City, Minnesota
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver effective sign language interpretation for academic instruction and munication
- Facilitate access to curriculum and promote student engagement in classroom activities
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support the students learning and munication needs
Qualifications:
- EIPA (Educational Interpreter Performance Assessment) score of 4.0 or higher OR RID/NAD Certification is required
- Minimum of 2 years sign language interpreting experience preferred
- Strong understanding of educational settings and K-12 munication requirements
