Rugged Science builds ruggedized computers for the U.S. military and some of the most innovative industrial companies in the world and business is growing fast. We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Warehouse Manager to lead operations within our Logistics Department. This role is responsible for overseeing all warehouse activities, ensuring efficient material flow, inventory accuracy, and on-time shipment performance while driving continuous improvement across logistics processes. We're looking for someone who brings strong organizational skills, a proactive mindset, and a natural ability to work across teams to get things done.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily warehouse operations including receiving, inventory control, material handling, and shipping
- Manage and optimize material flow to support production schedules and on-time order fulfillment
- Ensure accurate receipt of incoming purchase orders and transactions within the ERP system (Global Shop)
- Schedule the kitting and allocation of materials to work orders based on production requirements
- Oversee packaging and shipment of finished goods to ensure safe, compliant, and damage-free delivery
- Manage domestic and international shipping processes, including carrier selection and documentation
- Enforce and continuously improve adherence to company SOPs to maintain inventory accuracy and operational efficiency
- Develop and maintain warehouse organization, cleanliness, and safety standards
- Supervise, train, and develop warehouse personnel, ensuring strong team performance and accountability
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Production, Purchasing, Engineering, and Quality teams to support business objectives
- Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and support company growth
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and develop staff
- Extensive experience with ERP systems for inventory management and logistics operations (Global Shop preferred)
- Solid understanding of warehouse operations, inventory control, and material flow in a manufacturing environment
- Experience managing domestic and international shipping, including compliance requirements
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and other business systems
- Ability to analyze data and drive process improvements
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience with ITAR regulations (preferred)
- Experience operating forklifts and warehouse equipment (preferred)
- Ability to lift 50 lbs or greater (required)
Minimum Education and Experience
- 5–10+ years of warehouse/logistics experience in a manufacturing environment
- 2–4+ years of leadership or supervisory experience preferred
