We are offering a short-term contract employment opportunity for a Purchasing Coordinator in the construction and contractor industry, based in Colorado Springs, Colorado. As a Purchasing Coordinator, your role will involve generating purchase orders, managing invoices, and handling inquiries from various stakeholders. You will also be expected to foster a culture of continuous improvement within the team.


Key Responsibilities:


Administrative Support:

  • Take ownership of routine administrative tasks to assist purchasing agents.
  • Perform filing, record-keeping, and other organizational activities to ensure accurate documentation.

Purchase Order (PO) Management:

  • Research and track purchase orders to maintain accurate records.
  • Communicate with sales teams to address purchase order inquiries and issues promptly.
  • Resolve PO discrepancies in a timely and professional manner.

Data Research and Communication:

  • Conduct research to support purchasing decisions and operations.
  • Maintain effective and clear communication with internal and external stakeholders to support purchasing activities.

Technical Competency:

  • Utilize Microsoft Excel (basic proficiency required) for tracking and managing data.
  • Perform data input and analysis to support purchasing functions.


• Minimum of 1 year experience in a similar role within the construction/contractor industry
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
• Experience in answering inbound and making outbound calls
• Exceptional customer service skills
• Proven ability to perform data entry tasks with high accuracy
• Excellent email correspondence skills
• Demonstrated ability to schedule appointments effectively
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
• Knowledge of construction industry purchasing processes would be an advantage.
