Job Title: Compliance Technician
Property Assignment: Des Moines Street Village
Job Location: Des Moines, IA (Full-time in the office)
Salary Range: $25-$31 per hour
*Must have at least 2 years on-site compliance processing required, COS/TCCS/AHM certification preferred*
Job Summary
The Compliance Technician will complete household certifications in accordance with affordable housing program requirements, which may include conducting interviews with applicants and current residents. The Compliance Technician will also play a key role in household certifications for new and/or refinanced properties.
Essential Functions:
Certification Processing:
• Conducts interviews with new applicants and existing residents
• Generates accurate and complete resident certifications
• Enters household certification information into Yardi software
• Meets program recertification deadlines as well as regularly meeting company certification benchmarks
Other Responsibilities:
• Works closely with the Property Manager to ensure timely and accurate compliance activities
• Maintains compliance paperwork in the resident file
• Assists department with resolution of file audit issues
• Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor
Minimum Requirements
• Ability to manage multiple projects
• Excellent organizational, analytical and time management skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
• One-year experience administering Federal subsidy housing programs preferred
• One-year experience working in a property management field preferred
• Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Adobe & Yardi
Physical Requirements
• Ability to sit for up to 8 hours at a time.
• Ability to enter data into a computer
• Ability to lift up to 10 pounds
• Ability to complete large filing projects
