This is a contract opportunity for an experienced Special Education Teacher to join a passionate educational community near Inman, SC. The position is available immediately and offers a rewarding assignment working with a diverse caseload of learners.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid Special Education Certification (Multi-Categorical preferred), Elementary level
• Demonstrated background in supporting students with Autism and Intellectual Disabilities/Multiple Impairments (IDMI)
• Experience leading or supervising paraprofessionals within a classroom setting
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for collaboration with staff, students, and families
• Ability to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and adapt curriculum for modified academics

Responsibilities:

• Lead a self-contained classroom of approximately 7 students, all with unique needs, some part-time in the setting
• Serve a total caseload ranging from 15-20 students between 4K and 8th grade
• Manage and collaborate with a dedicated, full-time classroom paraprofessional
• Implement evidence-based strategies and interventions to address academic and behavioral goals
• Foster an inclusive learning environment supporting both individual growth and group success
• Communicate regularly with families and multidisciplinary teams to support student progress
• Maintain thorough records and contribute to ongoing IEP meetings and reports

Details:

• Full-time: 40 hours/week, Monday through Friday
• Single site assignment at a supportive and inclusive campus
• Annual contract with the potential to extend, offering stability for the right candidate
