Staff Hydrogeologist

Wet Rock Groundwater Services, LLC (WRGS) is a small multi-discipline water resources firm located in Austin, Texas. One of the biggest sources of pride for us is our work family. Since 2002, WRGS is a leader in the water resources sector with projects ranging from public supply well design and rehabilitation to water resources analysis and groundwater modeling.

Summary of Position

· Project management including coordination with clients;

· Conducting aquifer tests, analysis and reports;

· Preparation of reports for groundwater modeling, groundwater availability evaluations and exploration studies;

· Preparation of plans and specifications of public supply wells, coordination with TCEQ and well drilling contractors, oversight of well construction;

· Preparation of operating permits with Groundwater Conservation Districts including hydrogeologic reports in support of permitting;

· Preparation of progress reports and review of contractor invoices on well construction projects.

Preferred Qualifications

· M.S. degree in geosciences, hydrogeology engineering or related field;

· Experience with groundwater modeling and MODFLOW;

· Experience with computer programming and groundwater model development;

· Project management experience;

· Planning, conducting and analyzing aquifer tests;

· Experience with well design and planning for public supply wells in Texas;

· Experience with operating permits and permitting with Groundwater Conservation Districts;

· Licensed Professional Geoscientist or Engineer;


Minimum Qualifications

· B.S. degree in geosciences, hydrogeology, engineering or related field;

· Hydrogeologic consulting experience in Texas;

· 2 to 5+ years of experience working in hydrogeologic consulting;

· Proficiency with ESRI software, Microsoft Office;
