We are seeking a Construction Associate to join our team! You will travel to and from various job sites to perform construction/remodeling related tasks. This is a Direct Hire opportunity with a growing Construction company located in Kalamazoo, MI. There is an introductory training period that will vary by individual. The training compensation is $15/hr. Once successfully trained, compensation will go to $17-20/hr.
Responsibilities:
- Demolition of walls, floors, etc.
- Assist with framing, floor installation, drywall installation, drywall finishing, painting, etc.
- Use of power tools
- Work in a safe manner
Qualifications:
- Previous construction experience preferred but not required- familiarity with flooring and drywall a huge plus.
- Ability to read tape measure is required
- Ability to safely and efficiently use power tools
- Ability to perform the duties as assigned
- Teamplayer attitude
- Willingness to be flexible with schedule and ability to go above and beyond
- Deadline and detail-oriented
- Must have ability to reliably commute to job sites.
