Business Systems Analyst
**Future Opportunity**
CSEngineering is seeking a Business Systems Analyst to join our growing team! This role will provide analytical and technical support to evaluate business processes, define system requirements, and support the development and implementation of enterprise systems. The ideal candidate will bring strong experience in DoD acquisition processes, lifecycle management, and systems analysis to support mission-critical programs and decision-making.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- The Business Systems Analyst will analyse and evaluate business processes and system requirements to support organizational objectives and operational efficiency. This role will serve as a key member of a project team, providing technical and analytical guidance regarding the business implications of applying various information systems and technologies.
- The Business Systems Analyst will assist in defining system scope and objectives aligned with organizational strategies, industry standards, and program requirements. Responsibilities include evaluating existing processes, identifying areas for improvement, and recommending system enhancements or solutions that support mission and program goals.
- The Business Systems Analyst will support program documentation, reporting, and analysis activities related to acquisition and program management processes. This includes assisting in the preparation of reports and data submissions for Defence Acquisition Executive Summary (DAES) reporting and maintaining program data within the Defence Acquisition Management Information Retrieval (DAMIR) system.
- The Business Systems Analyst will work with program stakeholders to analyse system requirements and ensure compliance with applicable Department of Defence policies, acquisition frameworks, and lifecycle management processes. The role requires familiarity with Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) processes and DoD acquisition guidance.
- The Business Systems Analyst will utilize systems engineering and business modelling tools to support analysis activities and provide insights to leadership and project teams. Responsibilities may include supporting system documentation, process mapping, and system engineering activities using industry-standard tools.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Security Clearance: IT-II security clearance OR NACLC
- Minimum of four (4) years of relevant experience in business systems analysis, program analysis, or related technical roles.
- Experience supporting Department of Defence programs or environments.
- Working knowledge of DoD lifecycle management processes and acquisition guidance.
- Experience supporting reporting and data preparation for Defence Acquisition Executive Summary (DAES) and Defence Acquisition Management Information Retrieval (DAMIR) systems.
- Familiarity with Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) processes.
- Experience using systems engineering or business process modelling tools such as ARIS.
- Strong analytical, communication, and documentation skills.
- Ability to obtain and maintain required background investigation.
- Must possess IT-II security clearance or have a current National Agency Check with Local Agency Check and Credit Check (NACLC) at the time of proposal submission.
Location: Washington, DC (NCR) with potential travel to other government sites as required.
PREFERRED CERTIFICATIONS
- Relevant certification from a nationally recognized authority.
- DoD Approved 8570 Baseline Certification – IAM Level III
