The Medical Assistant Instructor role involves delivering high-quality instruction and clinical training to small classes of medical assistant students, typically under 15 per session. This position requires a seasoned professional with experience in diverse healthcare environments, including primary care, hospitals, specialty practices, and community health centers. The instructor provides moderate career advising to students and supports their development through both theoretical and hands-on education.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging classroom and online instruction tailored to small student groups
• Conduct clinical training across varied medical settings including clinics, hospitals, and specialty practices
• Assess student performance through exams, practicals, and continuous evaluation
• Mentor and guide students in academic and career preparedness
• Perform administrative tasks related to curriculum management and training coordination

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 4 years experience in medical assisting roles
• Current Medical Assistant Certification

Preferred Qualifications

• Certification in Medical Assisting Instruction
• Experience in teaching and student evaluation
• Strong skills in patient care, communication, and organizational management
• Knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare regulations
• Mentoring experience and computer proficiency in EHR/EMR systems
• Additional expertise in phlebotomy, billing, and coding
