Manufacturing Engineer
Duties/Responsibilities
- Evaluates manufacturing processes by designing and conducting research programs.
- Develops manufacturing processes by studying product requirements, research testing methods and conferring with equipment vendors.
- Improves manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning workflow, space requirements, and equipment layout.
- Assures product and processes quality by designing testing methods.
- Provides manufacturing decision-making information by calculating production, labor, material costs.
- Prepares product and process reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
- Keeps equipment operational by coordinating maintenance and repair services.
- Completes design and development projects by training and guiding technicians.
- Strategizing the development process, including raw materials and machinery.
- Analyzing all facets of production and making recommendations for improvement.
- Drawing up production schedules and budgets for projects.
- All other duties as assigned.
Required Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing engineering, structural engineering, production engineering, or equivalent is required
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with cross-functional teams and departments.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Flexibility to help across multiple departments.
- Leadership ability to manage challenges and oversee employees.
- Attention to detail to ensure tasks are completed thoroughly and correctly.
- Ability to problem solve.
- Must be able to type, sit for long periods of time, and lift up to 15lbs at a time.
- Advance computer skills and software management experience.
Desired Skills
- 2-3 years of experience of engineering experience.
