Position Overview: The Trade Marketing Manager will bridge the gap between marketing and sales - owning the strategy, execution, and optimization of trade marketing initiatives. You'll ensure Waiakea shows up at retail in a way that's as premium, sustainable, and impactful as the brand itself.
This position is fully remote with occasional travel requirements. Candidates based in Hawaii or Los Angeles are preferred, though we are open to qualified applicants from other locations.

Essential Job Functions:
- Retail Strategy & Execution
- Develop and manage annual trade marketing plans aligned with brand strategy and sales targets.
- Partner with the sales team to create channel-specific programs for grocery, convenience, natural, and club channels.
- Plan and execute seasonal promotions, POS activations, and in-store campaigns that drive trial and repeat purchase.
- Plan, pitch, and execute national consumer campaigns
- Create a playbook or displays and strategies for distributors and regional team members across the nation to execute
- Ownership of POS Materials & Calendar
- Manage and track all POS inventory and materials to ensure timely distribution and brand consistency.
- Create and oversee the trade marketing calendar, integrating it with the overall marketing budget, product launches, and seasonal campaigns.
- Budget & Vendor Management
- Own the trade marketing budget, ensuring maximum efficiency and impact.
- Manage relationships with external vendors, agencies, and co-marketing partners.
- Shopper & Category Insights
- Work with the Sales Analytics Director to leverage internal and syndicated sales data along with shopper insights to identify scalable opportunities.
- Analyze program ROI, track spend, and provide recommendations for optimization.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Marketing (brand, digital, experiential) and Sales (field, key accounts, distributors).
- Support new product launches with retail activation toolkits and trade materials.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of trade marketing, shopper marketing, and/or brand management experience in beverage, CPG, or natural products.
- Strong analytical chops—comfortable with data visualization and translating insights into action.
- Proven track record of executing successful retail programs across multiple channels.
- Not afraid of AI and ready to use it as an effective team member
- Experience managing POS inventory and coordinating large-scale retail activations.
- Ability to manage budgets, timelines, and cross-functional stakeholders with precision.
- Creative mindset with the discipline to measure impact and adjust quickly.
- Experience executing national sweepstakes programs.
- Passion for sustainability and community is a big plus.
