Job DescriptionPosition Summary
The Team Member is responsible for providing exceptional guest service while supporting daily restaurant operations. This role includes serving guests, preparing food and beverages, maintaining cleanliness standards, handling transactions, and contributing to a positive team environment. Team Members play a key role in delivering the Shipley experience by ensuring every guest receives fresh products and outstanding service.
Essential ResponsibilitiesGuest Service
- Greet every guest with a friendly and welcoming attitude.
- Take customer orders accurately and efficiently.
- Answer questions about menu items and promotions.
- Resolve guest concerns professionally and escalate issues when needed.
- Create a positive experience that encourages repeat business.
Food Preparation & Product Quality
- Prepare and serve donuts, kolaches, coffee, and other menu items according to Shipley standards.
- Follow recipes and portion guidelines.
- Maintain product freshness and presentation standards.
- Restock displays and serving areas throughout the shift.
Cash Handling
- Process cash, credit card, and digital transactions accurately.
- Balance cash drawers and follow cash-handling procedures.
- Maintain accountability for all transactions.
Cleanliness & Food Safety
- Maintain a clean dining room, front counter, drive-thru, and kitchen area.
- Follow all food safety and sanitation procedures.
- Wash dishes, utensils, and equipment as needed.
- Assist with opening, closing, and daily cleaning tasks.
Teamwork & Operations
- Work collaboratively with team members and management.
- Support operational goals and store performance initiatives.
- Assist during peak business periods to ensure efficient service.
- Follow company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
Qualifications
