Home Furniture Plus Bedding, a Top 100 Furniture Retailer and employee-owned company, is looking for a Support Manager to join our team at our two Baton Rouge stores. As a Support Manager, you’re more than a supervisor: you’re a coach, problem-solver, and motivator. Your leadership will set the tone for your team and directly shape every customer’s in-store experience. You’ll have a hand in everything from opening the store in the morning, to driving sales on the floor, to ensuring every closing detail is perfect.


What You’ll Do as a Support Manager

· Lead Daily Store Operations – Open/close the store, keep the team focused, and ensure customers leave happy.

· Supervise and Coach Staff – Build confidence, skills, and motivation in every team member.

· Drive Sales & Service – Support and energize the sales floor to meet and exceed goals. Keep these goals top of mind at all times.

· Protect What Matters – Handle money, financial info, and confidential records with care.

· Keep Us Organized – Ensure schedules, tasks, and store presentation are on point.

· Solve Problems Fast – Tackle challenges head-on with a solutions-first approach.


*Frequent travel between our Baton Rouge locations and occasional travel to our Distribution Center will be required.


Schedule & Pay

Full-time: Tuesday–Saturday (approx. 45 hrs/week)
Pay range: $20-22/hour ($49,400-$54,340 annually) based on experience
Closed Sundays

Requirements:What We’re Looking For in a Support Manager

  • Proven leadership, management, or supervisory experience
  • Prior Sales Experience is a big plus
  • Strong people skills (ex. connect easily, communicate clearly, inspire others, and lead by example)
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Integrity, discretion, and a high level of professionalism
  • Tech-savvy enough to handle scheduling, reports, and basic computer systems
  • An ownership mindset and a willingness to approach each day as though there is something new to be learned
  • Reliable transportation and a clean driving record
