Position Summary
We are seeking a proactive and results-oriented Account Manager to join our team and oversee strategic client relationships within our IT Services practice. In this role, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of key accounts, ensuring high levels of client satisfaction, and identifying opportunities for organic growth. The ideal candidate brings a blend of relationship management discipline and business development initiative—comfortable nurturing existing client relationships while actively pursuing net-new opportunities within those accounts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and grow a portfolio of strategic IT Services accounts, serving as the primary point of contact for client stakeholders
  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with clients ranging from program managers to executive leadership
  • Proactively identify, develop, and close cross-sell and up-sell opportunities, including new projects and service lines
  • Lead business development activities within existing accounts, including proposal development, scoping, pricing, and contract negotiation
  • Partner with delivery and technical teams to ensure successful execution of services and maintain account profitability
  • Conduct regular business reviews, track account health, and manage escalations as they arise
  • Maintain accurate pipeline and forecast information, managing the sales cycle from opportunity identification through close

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Account Management, Client Partnership, or Business Development within the IT Services, Consulting, or Technology solutions industry
  • Demonstrated success in managing client accounts and contributing to revenue growth, with specific examples of expanded business within existing relationships
  • Familiarity with the full sales cycle, including proposal creation, scoping, and negotiation
  • Ability to navigate both operational delivery discussions and strategic business conversations with ease
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Highly organized with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously

  • Experience in managed IT Services
  • Existing professional network within the NJ/NY metropolitan area
