Job Description

Compass Government Solutions LLC seeks an experienced Massage Therapist to provide services to Optimize the Human Weapon System (OHWS) program at Eielson AFB, AK

The Massage Therapist (MT) must possess and maintain an active, current, and unrestricted license or certification from the US jurisdiction where the service is to be provided. MTs provide prehabilitation of musculoskeletal conditions in fighter aircrew. As such, the MT shall evaluate and provide massage therapy to fighter aircrew personnel as part of a prehabilitation program. Prehabilitation is intended to strengthen core musculoskeletal (MSK) system to enhance resistance to neck and back injury. Also, healthy lifestyle education is addressed as part of an overall health maintenance program to enhance injury resistance. Such massage therapy as part of an overall program, focusing on neck and back pain, will improve the overall quality of life for fighter aircrew.

Job Requirements.

  • Proficiency in various massage modalities and techniques.
  • Strong understanding of human anatomy, physiology, and kinesiology.
  • Knowledge of contraindications and precautions for massage therapy.
  • Ability to assess client needs and develop individualized treatment plans

Qualifications

  • MT will have graduated from an accredited Massage Therapy certification program.
  • Current and unrestricted license or certification from the U.S. jurisdiction where services are provided.
  • 2+ years of full-time experience as a Massage Therapist in a medical practice setting or in collegiate (or higher), professional, or tactical athletics; aerospace industry, test pilot/astronaut or similar man-machine high performance environment.
  • Possess current certification in basic Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) to include Automated External Defibrillator (AED) training.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
