HR Generalist | Kentwood, MI
Salary Range: $53,000 - $80,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle recruitment for production, technical, and administrative roles, including sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding.
- Administer HR policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws, including OSHA regulations.
- Provide guidance and support on employee relations issues, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and grievance handling.
- Coordinate and facilitate new hire onboarding, safety training, and ongoing employee development programs.
- Oversee workers' compensation claims and promote a culture of safety and injury prevention across the facility.
- Support performance management processes, including goal setting, performance reviews, and corrective action plans.
- Maintain accurate HR records and data within the HRIS, generating reports as needed for management.
Recommended Qualifications
- 3-5 years of HR Generalist experience in a manufacturing environment.
- In-depth knowledge of federal and state labor laws, including OSHA regulations.
- Proven ability in employee relations, conflict resolution, and performance management.
- Experience with full-cycle recruitment for production and skilled trades roles.
- Proficiency with HRIS and payroll systems.
Bonus Qualifications
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles or Six Sigma methodologies.
- Experience supporting a unionized workforce, including grievance resolution.
- Bilingual proficiency (e.g., Spanish) to effectively communicate with a diverse employee base.
- Certification or advanced training in workplace safety (e.g., OSHA, first aid).
