Customer Service Specialist – Full Time (In Person)
Location: New York, NY | Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
The Brass Center is looking for someone to join our team as a full-time Customer Service Specialist. We are a small, privately owned company that supplies high-end decorative hardware and plumbing fixtures to the trade. Designers, architects, and contractors rely on us to provide expert guidance and support for new home construction and renovation projects.
The ideal candidate does not need to have prior experience in our industry—though it’s a plus—but must bring professionalism, responsiveness, and a strong sense of responsibility to the role. This is a position for someone who is detail-oriented, organized, and eager to support our clients and sales team in a fast-paced and highly specialized environment.
As a member of our team, you'll gain exposure to some of the most exclusive residential projects in NYC and beyond, and you'll have the opportunity to develop a deep understanding of luxury architectural hardware and plumbing products.
Responsibilities

Serve as a point of contact for client inquiries via phone and email

Greet clients and visitors in the showroom and ensure a professional, welcoming experience

Assist customers with order pickups and coordinate with the sales team as needed

Communicate with vendors to follow up on purchase orders, confirm product availability, shipping timelines, and deliveries

Send email updates and communicate on the phone to clients regarding order status, lead times, and deliveries

Provide order updates in a prompt and professional manner

Manage a high volume of inquiries accurately and efficiently

Help maintain a clean and welcoming front-of-house environment

Maintain clear and up-to-date records for open orders and ongoing projects
Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent customer service experience

Ability to manage a high volume of inquiries

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Strong organizational skills with attention to detail

Proficiency with Google Suite; experience with Adobe Acrobat a plus

Ability to manage multiple tasks and timelines in a professional environment

A warm, confident demeanor and the ability to remain calm under pressure

Compensation: Based on experience, FULLY PAID MEDICAL INSURANCE AFTER 3 MONTHS OF EMPLOYMENT
