About the Role:

Part Time Day Shift

The Dietary Aide at Pine Creek Manor plays a vital role in supporting the nutritional and dietary needs of residents within a healthcare or assisted living environment. This position ensures that meals are prepared, served, and delivered in accordance with established dietary guidelines and individual resident care plans. The Dietary Aide collaborates closely with dietary staff and healthcare professionals to maintain a clean, safe, and efficient dining environment. Attention to detail and adherence to food safety standards are critical to promote the health and well-being of all residents. Ultimately, this role contributes significantly to the overall quality of life and satisfaction of those living at Pine Creek Manor.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights as required.
  • Clear background check and compliance with health regulations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a dietary aide or food service role, preferably in a healthcare or senior living setting.
  • Certification in food handling or safety (e.g., ServSafe).
  • Familiarity with special dietary needs such as diabetic, low sodium, or texture-modified diets.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to interact compassionately with residents and staff.
  • Basic knowledge of nutrition principles.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation and serving of meals according to prescribed dietary requirements and menus.
  • Ensure that food is delivered to residents in a timely and courteous manner, accommodating special dietary needs and preferences.
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen, dining areas, and equipment in compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Support inventory management by assisting with the receipt, storage, and rotation of food supplies.
  • Communicate effectively with dietary staff and healthcare team members regarding resident needs and any concerns related to food service.
