Job Description
As a Microbiologist, you will perform tests on finished products and raw materials in accordance with regulatory requirements, following cGMP and cGLP guidelines. This role involves conducting various microbiological analyses, including Gram Staining and using the Plate Method to identify pathogens up to Bio-safety level II. You will also write and update standard operating procedures (SOPs), validate instrument qualifications and methods, and generate technical reports. Additionally, you will provide technical support for the environmental monitoring program and ensure regulatory compliance, while supporting audit activities.
Responsibilities
- Perform microbiological tests on finished products and raw materials.
- Conduct Gram Staining and utilize the Plate Method for pathogen analysis up to Bio-safety level II.
- Write and update standard operating procedures (SOPs) and technical reports.
- Perform chemistry analysis.
- Provide technical support for the environmental monitoring program.
- Operate, calibrate, and maintain microbiological instrumentation.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
- Support audits.
Essential Skills
- Proficiency in microbiology and quality control techniques.
- Experience with Gram Staining and Plate Method procedures.
- Knowledge of cGMP and cGLP guidelines.
- Familiarity with FDA and HACCP regulations.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Microbiology, Biology, Biochemistry, or Bacteriology.
- Completion of at least 2 microbiology courses or 2 years of laboratory experience.
- Experience in an FDA-regulated environment is advantageous.
Work Environment
The work environment is a pharmaceutical wet wipe manufacturing setting. Initially, you will train from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday to Friday, for approximately 1-2 weeks or until comfortable. After training, the permanent schedule will be 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on a 2-2-3 rotation. The position involves 70% laboratory work and 30% administrative tasks, such as writing reports and managing lab inventory. You'll work within a small, collaborative, and fun team in the QC Chemistry & Microbiology Lab.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $54080.00 - $54080.00/yr.
