Occupational Therapist – Marion, IL

???? Schedule: Monday–Friday (Full-time, 8am–5pm)
???? Travel: Local travel required – in-home patient visits
???? Position Overview
The Occupational Therapist is responsible for delivering in-home Occupational Therapy services as prescribed by the attending physician. This includes collaborating with the care team, maintaining detailed records, and providing guidance to patients, families, and staff on therapy goals and equipment use.
⚕️ Key Responsibilities
- Conduct Occupational Therapy evaluations to assess physical and cognitive function
- Develop and implement treatment plans with short- and long-term goals
- Provide instruction to patients and families on exercises, adaptive techniques, and self-care activities
- Train patients and caregivers on the use of orthotic/prosthetic devices and assistive equipment
- Perform re-evaluations and adjust care plans as necessary
- Maintain and submit accurate clinical and progress notes
- Communicate with the attending physician regarding patient progress and treatment changes
- Refer patients for outpatient OT services when home therapy is not feasible
- Educate and consult with other members of the care team on therapy-related techniques
- Participate in staff development, case conferences, and in-services
- Maintain professional competency through ongoing education
- Perform additional duties as assigned by a supervisor

- Monday through Friday, 8am–5pm
- No weekend or on-call responsibilities unless otherwise specified

- Must be able to travel locally for patient visits within the assigned territory
