We are searching for a warm, professional, and organized treatment coordinator to join our team in Colonia, NJ, located in Woodbridge Township, NJ. We are NOT a corporate practice! Our office is a private family-style general dentistry practice focusing on comprehensive patient care. Our patients all receive individualized care.
The duties of the treatment coordinator consist of welcoming patients, presenting treatment details including descriptions of procedures, insurance coverage, and patient portions, collecting payments, optimizing dentists' and hygienists' schedules, obtaining and processing insurance details, and managing incoming calls. The Treatment Coordinator will work hand in hand with a Scheduling Coordinator, with the possibility of expanding into other roles through additional training opportunities within the practice.
Compensation:
$18 - $24 hourly
Responsibilities:
- Greet patients warmly and courteously as they arrive at the reception desk
- Ensure all patient information is kept current and updated
- Present treatment plans, including restorative, surgical, and cosmetic plans
- Comfortably present patient financial obligations and maintain collections
- Provide accurate information regarding insurance estimates and patient responsibilities for payments
- Efficiently schedule and confirm appointments for dentists and hygienists if needed
- Optimize the schedules of dentists and hygienists to maximize productivity of the office
- Multitask with phone calls in a professional manner
- Verify insurance details and obtain detailed breakdowns
- Correspond via email with specialists or other practitioners as needed for patient care
- Work with Dentrix, Dexis, Weave, phone systems, and email/fax
Qualifications:
- Must be 18 years or older
- Must hold US Work Authorization
- Previous experience working in a dental office or related field is advantageous
- Familiarity with dental procedures and terminology
- Must be comfortable discussing financial information and enforcing office policies
- Strong customer service and communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential
- Punctual and effective time management skills
- Must have a warm and professional demeanor
- Experience with Dentrix/Dexis is preferred
- Familiarity with running reports for outstanding collections and claims
- Familiarity with CareCredit, Cherry, and similar platforms preferred
- Efficient multitasking ability is necessary
