Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A full-time Resource Classroom Special Education Teacher opportunity is available in Aurora, CO, supporting students through specialized instruction tailored to their unique learning needs. This position begins immediately and runs through May 22, 2026.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid Colorado Department of Education (CDE) Special Education Teacher license with a Generalist Endorsement (5-21) is mandatory.
  • Professional Teacher License with Special Education Generalist endorsement required; substitute, temporary, interim, or traveling licenses without the appropriate endorsement will not be considered.
  • Must demonstrate thorough knowledge of Specially Designed Instruction, instructional strategies, and teaching methods suitable for students on alternative standards.
  • Extensive experience with the IEP process is essential, along with strong collaborative skills to work effectively with the IEP team.
  • Candidates must be prepared to discuss their teaching experience and approach in detail during the interview.
  • This position is not open to virtual or hybrid work arrangements.

  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) that meet the unique needs of students.
