Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A school-based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available for the high school level (grades 9-12) in Newport, ME. This contract role offers an opportunity to provide essential speech and language services to students, supporting their academic success and communication development.

Qualifications:

  • Active Speech-Language Pathologist license in good standing
  • Experience working with high school students preferred
  • Strong understanding of speech and language disorders and evidence-based intervention techniques
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, parents, and other professionals

Position Details:

  • Employment type: Contract
  • Start date: As soon as possible
  • End date: End of the current school year
  • Weekly hours: 30 hours per week, 5 days a week

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations
  • Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans
  • Provide direct speech-language therapy services to high school students
  • Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and families to ensure continuity of care and support academic goals
  • Document student progress and maintain accurate records
