Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) degree, active Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license, and 1+ years Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) position is available to support elementary school students in Claremont, NH. This contract role runs from January 5, 2026, to approximately June 12, 2026, with up to 37.5 hours per week. Part-time schedules are considered, including 4 days (30 hours) or 3 days (22.5 hours), with caseload adjustments based on availability.

Location:

  • Primarily based at an elementary school setting with a focus on children in a safe-contained classroom environment (predominantly ASD with level 3 supports) and general education K-5 classes.
  • Weekly travel to a second elementary school for students primarily in general education placements (less than half-day).
  • Weekly visits to a middle school to provide service to one self-contained student, one general education student, and consultative support for others.

Caseload:

  • Total of 32 students, with 22 receiving direct services and 10 on consult.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver occupational therapy services to children with diverse needs, including those with autism spectrum disorder requiring substantial support.
  • Collaborate with educational and clinical staff to support student progress.
  • Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with school and state guidelines.
  • Provide consultative services as needed for students in general education settings.

Qualifications:

  • Must meet all state certification requirements for COTA.
  • Experience working with children in school-based settings, particularly with ASD and general education populations, is preferred.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
