Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This opportunity involves a Special Education teaching position within a K-12 school located in Naval Anacost Annex, Washington, DC. The assignment spans the current school year on a contract basis, supporting students in a bilingual Latin American environment. Preference is given to candidates with Spanish language skills to enhance communication and educational delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver individualized instruction to students with special needs across K-12 grade levels
  • Collaborate with school staff and support personnel to implement effective educational strategies
  • Adapt curriculum and teaching methods to meet diverse student needs in a bilingual setting
  • Monitor student progress and maintain detailed records
  • Participate in student evaluations and team meetings to plan interventions

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Experience working in special education settings preferred
  • Bilingual Spanish proficiency is highly desired to support the school community
  • Special Education certification is preferred but not mandatory
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
  • Flexibility with scheduling; standard hours are 8:00 AM to 4:15 PM, with potential for adjustments

Location: Naval Anacost Annex, Washington, DC
Schedule: Full-time or part-time options available
Caseload: Assigned to one school, serving K-12 students
Start Date: Immediate availability preferred
End Date: End of school year
