POSITION SUMMARY

The primary role of this position is to review and process all incoming department correspondence from law firms and providers. Correspondence usually is letters of request, questions regarding status, revised HIPAA authorizations and provider invoices.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Read each digital piece of correspondence to determine the next step
  • Update the computer system regarding the receipt of each piece of correspondence
  • Deliver the correspondence electronically to the proper associate for follow up
  • Arrange for any fees to be paid in advance of getting records
  • Attend weekly meetings with Team Leaders
  • Inform Request Processing of any address changes to providers or clients
  • Attend training classes or watch company-sponsored videos for ongoing education

PERFORMANCE METERICS

  • Process 250 pieces of digital mail daily
  • Itemize 100 invoices for provider fees and submit electronically to Accounts Payable daily
  • Document and submit daily report to Team leader itemizing activity

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills; strong interpersonal skills
  • Strong client focus; ability to interact with customers at all levels
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; high-level of attention to detail
  • Ability to multi-task effectively and maintain organization and composure under high pressure
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)
  • Capable of making timely, independent decisions
  • Ability to work to deadlines and prioritize work
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

Associate's degree is preferred, but at minimum a High School Diploma or equivalent education and 1-2 years of related work experience.
