Schedule Requirements:
- Must be available to work weekdays morning shift 10am to 5pm
- Weekend availability desired
Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Line Cook with a passion for Caribbean cuisine. You will help prepare dishes and support kitchen operations during busy times. Must be a kitchen professional and willing to prep and clean during down times.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare Caribbean menu items such as jerk chicken, oxtail, curry goat, plantains, and rice & peas
- Set up and maintain clean, organized cooking stations
- Follow recipes and presentation standards for consistent quality
- Ensure proper food handling, storage, and sanitation procedures
- Assist with prep work and kitchen cleaning as needed
- Work efficiently during peak hours and as part of a team
Requirements:
- Previous line cook or kitchen experience preferred
- Familiarity with Caribbean flavors and techniques is a plus
- Able to work in a fast-paced kitchen and follow directions
- Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented
- Food handler certification (or willingness to get one)
