Hourly Rate: Starting at $16.50/hour + Tips
Schedule: Part-time, must be available to work weekends and holidays.

Job Summary: Azusa Greens Golf Course is seeking a motivated and customer-focused Bartender/Server to join our clubhouse team. This hybrid role is perfect for someone who excels at both crafting beverages and providing attentive table service. You will be responsible for creating a positive and memorable experience for our guests, whether they're finishing a round of golf or simply enjoying a meal.
Responsibilities:
- Guest Service: Greet guests warmly, take food and drink orders accurately, and serve items promptly and courteously.
- Bartending: Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with established recipes and standards. This includes mixing cocktails, pouring beer and wine, and ensuring proper portioning.
- Food Service: Deliver food orders from the kitchen to tables, ensuring presentation standards are met and special requests are accommodated.
- Order Management: Utilize POS system efficiently for order entry, processing payments, and managing tabs.
- Menu Knowledge: Possess a thorough understanding of all food and beverage menu items, including daily specials, ingredients, and preparation methods, to answer guest questions and make recommendations.
- Cash Handling: Accurately handle cash, process credit card transactions, and manage end-of-shift reconciliations.
- Bar & Dining Area Maintenance: Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, dining tables, chairs, and overall serving space. This includes wiping down surfaces, restocking supplies, and light cleaning duties.
- Inventory & Stocking: Assist with stocking the bar, ensuring beverages, glassware, and other supplies are readily available. Report low stock levels as needed.
- Customer Satisfaction: Anticipate guest needs, address concerns promptly and professionally, and strive to exceed expectations.
- Compliance: Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations pertaining to alcohol service, including checking IDs to verify legal drinking age.
- Teamwork: Collaborate effectively with kitchen staff, other servers, and management to ensure smooth operations.
- Opening/Closing Duties: Perform assigned opening and closing duties, which may include setting up/breaking down dining areas, cleaning equipment, and securing inventory.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience (1+ years preferred) in a bartending and/or serving role, preferably in a restaurant, bar, or golf course setting.
- Must be at least 21 years of age (for bartending duties).
- Strong knowledge of drink recipes, mixing techniques, and standard bar equipment.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure and attention to detail.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 25-50 pounds regularly throughout a shift.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, is essential.
- Familiarity with POS systems is a plus.
- Must possess or be willing to obtain required food handler's permit and alcohol server certification (e.g., RBS certification in California).
