We are looking for an experienced Supply Chain Planner to join our team on a contract basis in Bloomington Minnesota. In this role, you will oversee critical aspects of material planning, inventory management, and production scheduling to ensure seamless operations. This position requires strong analytical skills, adaptability in a dynamic environment, and a commitment to collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities:
• Review vendor sales order material requests and coordinate with other planners to allocate materials effectively.
• Communicate updates on production plans and address potential issues that may disrupt workflows, while proactively proposing solutions.
• Process inventory reservations following approved requisitions and ensure the accurate delivery of materials to the appropriate cost center.
• Create and manage sales orders to transact materials out of inventory and ensure timely delivery to requisitioning parties.
• Utilize and share key performance metrics related to scheduling, material status, activity levels, and documentation accuracy with relevant stakeholders.
• Collaborate with purchasing staff to expedite the resolution of material shortages and ensure supply chain continuity.
• Monitor and adapt production schedules to align with customer needs and evolving market conditions.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and oversee the allocation of fixed and equipment inventory.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to streamline supply chain processes and improve overall efficiency.
• Minimum of two years of experience in supply chain planning within a capital equipment manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in Oracle systems and production scheduling methodologies.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• Ability to thrive in fast-paced environments and manage shifting priorities effectively.
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset to work seamlessly across departments.
• Familiarity with standard business practices in supply chain and logistics.
• Competence in popular business software applications.
• Knowledge of inventory management, material planning, and global supply chain logistics.
