Shift: Day Shift (6:30 AM – 7:00 PM), 3x12-Hour
Job Description:
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced Emergency Department Registered Nurse to join a high-acuity hospital ED on a travel contract assignment. The ideal candidate will have strong emergency nursing experience, prior travel experience, and the ability to function effectively in a fast-paced, trauma-level environment caring for diverse patient populations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care in a 64-bed Emergency Department
- Manage high-acuity cases including stroke, sepsis, trauma, MI, cardiac arrest, and respiratory failure
- Perform rapid patient assessments and prioritize care in critical situations
- Administer medications, treatments, and emergency interventions as needed
- Utilize Epic EMR for accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Float across units as required
- Support charge nurse responsibilities when needed (preferred)
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Required Qualifications:
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York
- Minimum 2+ years of Emergency Department experience
- Travel nursing experience required
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS certifications required
- TNCC certification required (must be in hand)
- Epic EMR experience required
- Experience with pediatric and adult populations required
- Strong clinical judgment in high-pressure environments
