Job DescriptionA leading manufacturing organization is seeking a Senior Planning Manager to lead end-to-end supply planning operations and drive inventory, service, and production performance across a complex supply chain network. This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for developing supply strategies, optimizing planning processes, and partnering cross-functionally with Operations, Procurement, Manufacturing, and Customer Service teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the supply planning function, ensuring product availability while optimizing inventory levels.
- Manage and improve S&OP/SIOP processes and supply planning performance metrics.
- Develop production and inventory strategies to support customer demand and business objectives.
- Collaborate with manufacturing, procurement, logistics, and commercial teams to align supply plans.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on planning accuracy, inventory optimization, and operational efficiency.
- Lead, develop, and mentor a team of planners.
- Analyze supply chain risks and implement mitigation strategies to support business continuity.
- Utilize ERP and planning systems to improve forecasting, capacity planning, and inventory management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, Engineering, or related field.
- 8+ years of supply chain, production planning, or supply planning experience within a manufacturing environment.
- Leadership experience managing supply planning or supply chain teams.
- ERP system expertise (SAP, Oracle, or similar).
- Excellent analytical, communication, and cross-functional leadership skills.
