Sr. Plant Accountant

Job Description

Our client, a Fortune 200 Global Manufacturer, is seeking an experienced Plant Account. You will be the on-site financial partner with plant leadership while owning day-to-day accounting operations and asset control. You’ll support decision-making through accurate financial reporting, budgeting, inventory and cost management and analysis.

Hybrid role is onsite in Kalamazoo, MI area. Relocation assistance is provided.

Responsibilities

• Provide support with financial and statistical information to drive operational and cost-based decisions.
• Prepare/assist with prep of financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and monthly/annual closing activities and reports.
• Oversee core accounting functions for the plant.
• Maintain accurate inventory and asset records, including physical inventory audits, work-in-process, and asset inventory controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and 5+ years of accounting experience.
• Experience in a manufacturing or plant environment.
• Strong experience with general ledger, cost accounting, inventories, and month-end/year-end close processes.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office with advanced Excel skills. SAP Experience is a plus.
• Strong business acumen and communication skills to partner effectively with leadership and across functions.
• Ability to work onsite 4 days/week.
