Note: This is not a remote position.It requires regular in-office attendance, Monday through Thursday, with the opportunity to work from home on Fridays.


Job Purpose

The Graphic Designer is a significant part of the Marketing and Communications team, and creates and manages graphic design for print, web and video, including email campaign distributions, app content, the monthly newsletter, and more. They are also responsible for collating and editing photos from the field that are used in designs and ensuring that the website is kept up to date with current campaigns.

Compensation and Benefits


  • Classification
    • This is a full-time, salaried/exempt position.
  • Salary Range
    • Between $62,000 and $70,000 a year based on qualifications and experience.


  • Sign-on Bonus - $2,000
    • $1,000 paid at the end of 30-days of employment
    • $1,000 paid at the end of 6-months employment

Duties and responsibilities

  • Graphic & Digital Design
    • Designs print and digital collateral for outward facing messaging
    • Creates a wide range of graphics and layouts for use within and without World Challenge
    • Creates imagery for video production team
    • Edits photography from fieldwork to be used in media
  • Designs Content for Social Media
    • Creates and designs imagery for social channels
    • Collaborates with Senior Graphic Designer to ensure branding standards are met across all social media
  • Design Content for Website
    • Designs and creates landing pages for the website
    • Ensures that the website is inline with current promotions and messaging
  • Design Coordination
    • In collaboration with Senior Graphic Designer, the Graphic Designer speaks into:
      • Vendor created items
      • Contractor created items
      • Designs centered around campaigns

  • Other Responsibilities as Determined by Manager

Qualifications

  • Agreement and alignment with World Challenges Statement of Faith
  • Bachelors degree in Graphic Design, Marketing, Communications or related field,
  • 3+ years of design experience
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite required
  • Good communicator and team player
  • Proficient in the use of office equipment:
    • Computer
    • Voice messaging systems
  • Familiarity with video/audio production helpful but not required
  • Familiarity with photography helpful but not required

Working conditions

The Graphic Designer maintains regular office hours (9-5). Will periodically need to be available on weekends or nights depending upon needs of campaigns or events.

Physical requirements

This role requires no heavy lifting and is performed in a climate-controlled office environment. The employee is allowed appropriate time for breaks and lunch. This position may need to lift up to 10 pounds.
