\n\nJob Description\n
The CT Technologist is responsible for preparing patients for diagnostic procedures, explaining scans, positioning patients to capture appropriate images, and operating equipment to produce cross-section images of bones, organs, and tissue.
\n\nResponsibilities\n

- Complete all required paperwork in a timely manner.
- Understand and complete necessary requisitions for ordered exams in a timely manner.
- Schedule all exams in a timely manner.
- Perform diagnostic Radiographic/Fluoroscopic C-arm exams on patients in the department and with portable equipment.
- Inject IV contrast media as needed.
- Perform a variety of examinations, reconstructions, and various printing protocols by the Radiologist.
- Identify various types of mechanical and electronic equipment failures to accurately diagnose problems with radiographic machines and processors.
- Explain the procedure to the patient and answer any questions related to the equipment or the procedure.
- Properly move and transport patients to and from the department as required.
- Order necessary supplies and maintain par levels.
- Treat all patients, guests, coworkers, and physicians with courtesy and friendliness regardless of their cultural/ethnic background, gender, orientation, or age.
- Attend required in-services and orientations.
- Work closely with floor staff and build positive relationships to facilitate excellent patient care.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

\n\nRequired Experience / Certifications / Licensure\n

- Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
- CT Certification.
- BLS certification required.
- 3 years of experience in the Medical Imaging field (not including school).
- Experience operating facility-specific equipment (Philips).
