Overview:

Make a real difference every day! ARC of the Treasure Coast is seeking a compassionate and motivated Employment Consultant (Job Coach) to empower individuals with disabilities in achieving their employment goals. In this vital role, you will provide one-on-one support, training, and advocacy to help clients discover their strengths, build job readiness skills, and connect with meaningful, sustainable employment opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct intake assessments to identify each client’s unique skills, needs, and career aspirations.
• Develop individualized employment plans with clear, achievable objectives.
• Provide training in job search techniques, resume writing, interviewing, and networking.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with local employers; advocate for client placement.
• Support clients on the job site with accommodations, coaching, and skill-building.
• Offer ongoing encouragement and problem-solving throughout the employment journey.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of four (4) years of professional or personal experience working with individuals with disabilities required.
• Experience with supported employment or vocational rehabilitation services preferred.
• Strong knowledge of disability rights, including the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to build trust and rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or GED required.

Additional Requirements:

• Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and a clean driving record.
• Ability to pass a Level II background screening.
• Physical ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs.; may involve standing, walking, bending, kneeling, driving, and computer-based tasks.
