Chapel Hills Vision Clinic – Colorado Springs, Colorado

Location: In-Person | Colorado Springs, CO

Compensation: $60,000 – $75,000 per year (DOE)

Schedule: Full-Time | Monday–Friday | 8-Hour Shifts Between 7:30 AM – 5:30 PM

Chapel Hills Vision Clinic is a patient-focused optometry practice dedicated to providing exceptional eye care and an outstanding patient experience. We are seeking a highly organized, people-focused HR Generalist / Office Manager to oversee daily clinic operations, support our growing team, and ensure smooth administrative and HR functions across the practice.

This is a leadership role ideal for someone who enjoys balancing human resources responsibilities with operational oversight in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Position Overview:

The HR Generalist / Office Manager is responsible for managing employee relations, payroll and benefits administration, scheduling, compliance, and overall office operations. This individual will work closely with physicians and leadership to maintain a positive workplace culture while ensuring efficient day-to-day clinic performance.

The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, professional, and comfortable handling sensitive employee and operational matters with discretion.

Key Responsibilities:

Human Resources & Employee Relations

  • Lead recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, and offboarding processes
  • Manage employee relations, coaching, corrective action, and documentation
  • Maintain HR records, employment files, and compliance documentation
  • Administer payroll and timekeeping through Netchex
  • Oversee employee benefits administration and 401(k) coordination
  • Maintain and update employee handbook and HR policies
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws, HIPAA, and workplace policies
  • Coordinate staff scheduling, PTO requests, and coverage needs
  • Conduct and facilitate monthly staff meetings and trainings
  • Manage unemployment claims and related documentation

Office & Clinic Operations

  • Oversee daily workflow of front desk, optical, and technician teams
  • Implement and improve office procedures and operational efficiencies
  • Monitor patient experience and assist with complaint resolution
  • Help maintain online reputation management and patient satisfaction
  • Provide basic internal technical support for office systems and equipment
  • Coordinate with vendors, IT support, and third-party service providers
  • Support physicians and leadership with administrative operations

Qualifications:

  • Strong knowledge of HR best practices and employment law
  • Minimum 3–5 years of Human Resources experience required. Experience in office management and/or healthcare administration is strongly preferred.
  • Experience with payroll, benefits administration, and employee scheduling
  • Leadership experience in a medical, dental, optometry, or healthcare office preferred
  • Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise professional judgment
  • Strong computer and administrative skills
